Veterans Afield U.A. once again hosted the National Wheelchair Games Trap Shoot. This event took place on July 24th at the Waukesha Gun Club at 12:00 PM. There were 5 disabled Veterans participating in this year’s trap shoot. Each participant was required to shoot from his wheelchair completing 4 rounds. A round consists of 25 shots for a total of 100 shots. We are thankful for the donations of shells as they were used for this good cause.
In order to determine the winners, the score sheets will be sent to the national headquarters to be evaluated along with score sheets from other chapters. This year’s Wisconsin PVA Chapter’s team consisted of 5 shooters:
Derrick Trentin
Ricky Riley
Bill Fenton
Ervin Mulkey
Howard Luxner
The results are in from the National Wheelchair Games! All of our participating Veterans did a great job shooting by doing their very best. We’re proud of all of you! Three of our five Veterans received medals, and the results are as follows:
· Derrick Trentin – Gold
· Ricky Riley - Bronze
· Ervin Mulkey – Bronze
Congratulations, Derrick, Ricky, and Ervin! Bravo Zulu!
