The photo below is of the Easley Farm Gang who hosted the Spring 2024 Turkey Hunt for the Veterans Afield U.A. organization. The Farm Gang consists of 22 members of family and friends. The Easley and Schafer families have taken four disabled veterans turkey hunting for the past three years, and they are working on the 2025 Spring Turkey Hunt details in preparation for next year. The Farm Gang provides everything from the hunting guides, to setting up the blinds, providing transportation to and from the blinds, making and serving all meals, providing guns and ammo if needed, and cleaning the birds after the hunt. The turkey hunt consists of three days out in the field. During the afternoon on the last day, everyone gets to speak and interact with the disabled veterans. There is nothing the Farm Gang won’t do for the veterans and the organization. Their goal is to see the veterans harvest a turkey. They are giving our disabled veterans an opportunity to do something they never thought they would be able to do again. Veterans Afield U.A. and the veterans who participate in the turkey hunts are forever grateful to the Farm Gang!
